January 2026 Edition

Despite another year of inflation in the prices of our tools, consumables and manpower, our family is still committed (as of now) to maintaining our service prices for the foreseeable future. We understand the struggle of balancing family budgets as we too, face similar struggles. We will attempt to work harder, longer and cut costs in other auxiliary functions and niceties so that we can continue to do good work and pay fair wages. We would like to thank all our customers for opening their homes to our teams all these years. Unfortunately, the same cannot be attempted for services that involve the usage of consumables and parts ie, refrigerant popups & refills, PCB/ fan motor and other item replacements. The price increases of such items have to passed on directly to customers.

Prices Remain Unchanged for 2026

For those of us old enough to remember the ozone layer depletion crisis of the late 1990s, R22, a hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC-22) was the dominant refrigerant used in most AC units at the time. HCFC-22 was a major cause of ozone depletion. Most of the world signed and updated the Montreal Protocol to completely phase out the use of R22 in favour of R410a. So much time has elapsed since the agreed phase out of R22 that manufacturers have moved on to the newer and more environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant. Malaysia for its part has banned the manufacture and installation of R22 AC equipment as of December 1st 2022. Since then, R22 refrigerant has almost tripled in price. In line with this global effort, but mostly due to cost pressures, our company no longer offers R22 top-ups and refills. We now recommend AC replacements should we find R22 refrigerant leaks.

R22 Banned!

Despite all odds, two of our servicemen welcomed new babies in their families. A handsome boy and beautiful girl were born in the middle of the year and begin 2026 in good health. The tired but happy fathers now both work harder than before, motivated by new pressures and incentives.
