April 2026 Edition

WORKING UNDER THE CLOUDS OF CONFLICT

We live under different clouds

Most of us grew up in mostly peaceful times. This year has brought rising costs, uncertainty and tension across the world. Closer to home, we are seeing the effects in fuel, materials and daily operations. While distant the news hits home daily. This Raya season was spent working while consuming the anxious news from abroad.

We are doing our best to respond to the fast-changing realities of 2026 especially the increase in costs of fuel, materials and tools. We aim to keep prices the same while the world goes through this turbulence.

We work that our children may have food, we pray that they may grow up knowing peace.

Having worked for almost every day of the year since his teens, the senior grandfather Ang decided to visit KL to help Ang Family operations while most of our staff were on the long Raya break. Uncontented to sit home with grandchildren, he accompanied us out for a few days to service ACs while most our teams were off for holidays. He has since returned to Sarawak and our company median age reduced by a decade.

SENIOR ANG VISITS

We ended March with very rude surprises in the costs of fuel, copper and refrigerants. As of now we are yet to understand the full impacts of these sudden increases and the full extent they will reach. We are still as of the beginning of April 2026, working to maintain our service prices and avoid charging travel fees.

These increases may eventually affect service and replacement costs across the industry.

MORE PRICE SHOCKS

BUDGET BUKA PUASA

We had our company buka puasa this year in the office after a hard day’s work. It was a simple affair. Money is tight, the rest of the year seems full of challenges, yet spirits remain high. Some in our team are dealing with newborns, some planning for marriage, one just got married.

Our motto for this season appears to be,

KEEP CALM

AND

CONTINUE WORKING

LET IT RAIN 1998

We would like to share with everyone a song by our favourite tenor and rocker combination. The song was part of a charity concert in Modena Italy to raise funds to help refugee children of the Liberian Civil War. Though written almost three decades ago, the lyrics still rings true today.

In uncertain times, we find comfort in small routines

— work, family, and even music

by Luciano Pavarotti and Bon Jovi

HEATWAVE ARRIVES IN MALAYSIA

It's that time of year again when tempers and temperatures rise to uncomfortable levels. While ACs and our teams work extra hard to keep temperatures low, we would like to remind everyone to keep cool, hydrated and calm.
